HOUSE OF TIERS
ARCHITECTURE
This schematic design was developed by drawing inspiration from the simple form of three-layered volumetric tiers, that create a bold yet harmonious design which balances form and function. The front façade features a striking frame with chamfered edges, giving a dynamic and geometric aesthetic while softening the overall harsh lines. The balcony and roof terraces feature lush planters which create a refreshing contrast to the clean lines of the main structure.
The internal open concept layout connects the living, dining and dry kitchen areas. A dramatic double-volume void above the dining space adds an enhanced sense of verticality. The generous large windows throughout the space invites an abundance of natural light into the internal spaces, whilst opening up views into the lap pool.
The master bedroom wing at the top tier is designed with a wrap-around roof terrace, with large overhangs to protect the interior from direct sun. This prevents heat build up while still allowing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
